Connect with Your Network Using the Mayor Campaign

The end of the year is a very social time. You have Halloween and fall activities like hay rides and pumpkin and apple picking. Then you have Thanksgiving and all of the holiday festivities associated with Christmas and Hanukah. There are so many opportunities to connect with your clients! That’s why we planned the final Blitz of the year to occur during this time. You’re getting social with your neighbors, friends and people in your community anyway; what better time to add people to your database?

Now, you may be thinking: “Joe, I’m anxious about asking people if they have a real estate pro they trust already. I don’t want them to feel like I’m pestering them.” It’s normal to be a bit nervous, especially when you’re just starting out in the industry. Rest assured that people won’t think you’re pestering them! I developed the “Mayor Campaign” to make it easy for professionals at all levels to ask people if they have an agent they trust.

The Mayor Campaign

For agents and brokers:

“Oh, by the way, if you were buying or selling a home, or had a friend or family member who was, do you have a Realtor you would refer them to?”

 For people you know well:

“Oh, by the way, if you were buying or selling a home, or had a friend or family member who was, am I the Realtor® you would refer them to?”

 For lenders:

“If you were buying or refinancing a home, or had a friend or family member who was, do you have a Lender you would refer them to?”

 Don’t forget to add them to your database

If you’re the real estate professional they’d refer their family and friends to, be sure to add them to your database and prioritize them accordingly. Be sure to send them your monthly mailers and eReports and follow up each month. When you consistently connect with your clients, you’ll start the year with a pipeline full of leads.
