Make the Most of Your Real Estate Marketing Materials

Good real estate marketing is vital to the success of any business. However, after the difficulties of the past year, devising innovative ways to connect with your customers and promote your business in an intentional and strategic manner is more challenging than ever before. Here are some steps you can take to target your efforts for maximum results and really make your real estate marketing materials come alive this year:

Send Items of Value

Even when you can’t see your clients face-to-face, you can still keep in touch to let them know that they are top of mind and you are there for them. A great way to do this is to send items of value on a regular basis. Items of value are informative marketing pieces that give your clients timely and helpful information on topics such as tax preparation, buyer and seller behaviors, time management and more. Aim to send at least one item of value by mail to your best clients and one by email to others in your database every month.

Follow Up

Items of value are not designed to have just a singular, one-dimensional impact – they can really work hard for you on many levels if you know how to amplify their worth. To maximize their influence and deepen the relationship between you and your clients even more, don’t just mail and move on – follow up!

  • Make a Call

One powerful way to capitalize on an item of value is to call your clients to see if they have received what you sent them. Remember that every meaningful conversation you have with a client can develop and strengthen the relationship.

  • Write a Note

Instead of calling, you could choose to write to your clients to check in. Everyone appreciates a handwritten note! Keep it short and sweet and remind them that you are always on hand to answer any queries they may have.

  • Host a Facebook Live

Social media is a great way to reach out and connect with your clients. Consider hosting a Facebook Live or similar to expand on the topic covered by the item of value that you sent. This isn’t as daunting as it may seem check out my Facebook page for some ideas.

  • Write a Blog

Writing a blog about the subject is a great way to dig deeper into the topic in question and it gives you another opportunity to connect with your customers. A blog doesn’t need to be “War and Peace” – a short and helpful feature will hit just the right note. Websites like WordPress, Wix and Squarespace make it easy to design and host your own blog!
