The Pathway to Production

The real estate industry is constantly evolving. In this fast-paced environment, we encounter so many new trends and technologies every day that it can sometimes feel hard to keep up! However, it’s vital to remember that while tactics can change, principles never do. Right now, it’s more important than ever to master the fundamentals that will help your real estate business thrive.  Here’s how:

Move People to Action and Everyone Wins

If you support your team and help them to perform at the highest level, it has a positive trickle-down effect throughout your whole organization. Everyone reaps the rewards – with increased success and profits come opportunities for team members to further improve their quality of life. They might choose to pay off outstanding debts or treat themselves and their families to a much-needed vacation, for example. Furthermore, when a team achieves at a high level, it creates a confident and upbeat environment and mindset, which means that people are better able to tackle the everyday challenges that come with a business.

Create a Winning Culture

Winning has a powerful snowball effect on an organization; one win encourages another and another until an entire culture is transformed. When agents win and profits increase, a workplace becomes somewhere people are inspired to take positive action and achieve phenomenal results. It also become a “destination” — a club to which others aspire to belong. As the success of your organization builds, your agents will spread the word that your company is the place to thrive in real estate. A winning culture is very attractive to other top producers in the marketplace who want to work in a high-performance environment. And that means that recruiting the best of the best becomes much easier!

Practice Healthy Daily Habits

Zig Ziglar once said, “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing, that’s why we recommend it daily!” Helping your team to develop means that you have to encourage them to practice the kinds of professional daily habits that are needed to get on track for success and stay there. This can be challenging. Facilitating others in achieving their professional goals isn’t always easy, but it is always worthwhile. By investing in your team and helping them to improve, you will make a difference to their lives and also raise the level of professionalism in the industry. As Warren Buffet once said, “The best investment you can make is an investment in yourself. The more you learn, the more you’ll earn.”

Set the Tone

Keep in mind that you set the tone with every decision that you make. The agents you hire, the expectations you set for them and the level of value and care you provide for them is the difference between being average and being at the top of your game in the marketplace. Of course, you’ll want to achieve all of this while staying true to your mission and your goals. To create a growth-oriented environment you must:

  • Set high expectations and a high production standard in your office for agents and lenders. Make sure it’s in writingand have your team commit to it.
  • Live what you teach. Be the example. Do the work yourself and be a model of consistent lead-generation and business-development activities.
  • Hold your team accountable to your standards and, in a world where things might feel out of control right now, help them to focus on what they can control: their activities and mindset.
  • Create a culture and an environment focused on your people. Help them to achieve higher goals because, when they win, your company will win, too.

To help your team achieve all that they can, you have to provide them with the opportunity to implement a proven system that’s focused on lead generation, relationships, excellent customer service and skill development.
