Get the Luck of the Irish With These St. Patrick’s Day Activities

Win the market with our Do It N.O.W. campaign. This turn-key, marketing campaign will help you find and secure listings for the changing 2024 real estate market. Avoid the chaos and serve the listing every time. Outperform the competition and build long-term business.

Although the parades may have moved online, you can still enjoy St. Patrick’s Day at home with family! Try out a few of these activities to bring you and your family the luck of the Irish while celebrating the day and history.

The Great Irish Bake-Off

No holiday is complete without a themed bake-off! In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, gather your family to make an Irish delicacy (soda bread, anyone?) or green dessert! You may choose to bake cupcakes with green food coloring, shamrock-shaped cookies or any other festive treats of your choosing. Taste all the creations and choose your favorite!

Trivia Night

Take some time to learn a bit about St. Patrick’s Day history with your family! Read up on the holiday and create a trivia game based on what you learn. Write up fun facts and host a trivia/game night with your favorite holiday foods. See which family member retains the most Irish trivia!

Cook an Irish Breakfast

For a truly immersive St. Patrick’s Day experience, cook or order an Irish breakfast! Check if your local Irish pub is open for delivery — many will offer a traditional Irish breakfast on the menu that can be brought to your door. Otherwise, consider taking your family on a quest to find all the ingredients (specialty grocery stores are a great start) and cook one up yourself! If you can’t find everything, just cook your own rendition and enjoy the day!

Irish Movie Night

Choose an Irish movie or show to watch with the family. There are plenty of fun, family-friendly productions — here’s a list that offers plenty of suggestions. Get your popcorn and dive into Irish culture for a few hours through a great film!

St. Patrick’s Day Crafting

Grab your scissors, glue and all the green construction paper you can find, and get ready for a day of crafting. Perhaps your kids create a paper plate leprechaun or paint their own watercolor rainbow. Get festive and creative and come up with some crafts that will keep you and the kids busy all day long!

No matter how you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year, don’t forget the age-old Irish Blessing we hold dear to our hearts at Buffini & Company:

“May the road rise up to meet you, and may the wind always be at your back. May the rain fall soft upon your fields and the sun shine warm upon your face, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.”
