The Power of a Made-Up Mind
When I was a kid, my mother always told me that I could achieve anything I wanted if I made up my mind to. When it comes to success, this great advice still holds true today – successful people make up their minds to win long before they ever experience their first victory. There are five powerful advantages of having a made-up mind:
You Never Give Up
No matter what you’re struggling with in life – health, finances or relationships – you will inevitably go through difficult times when you feel as if you’re failing. When you have a made-up mind, however, you never give up. You recognize that failure is not the opposite of success, but a part of it, and you keep fighting and trying.
You Become More Resolute
We all experience challenges that can be hard to handle. When your mind is made up, you are more resolved and determined to overcome setbacks and succeed in meeting your goals, no matter what.
You Focus on Your Wins
With a made-up mind, you are more focused on your wins and achievements and less focused on your losses. You begin to recognize and appreciate what you’re doing right and even the smallest win becomes a reinforcement of your resolve.
You Attract Likeminded People
As the old saying goes, “It takes one to know one.” When you’re on a mission in life, you’ll recognize other people who are on a mission too. You will see the same qualities of grit and determination in likeminded people and you’ll develop friendships and relationships that will impact your life in positive ways.
You Become a Winner
It’s a fact that not everyone wins in life. Some people do better than others, whether that’s personally or professionally. You can’t win all of the time of course, but, if you have a made-up mind, the odds are more in your favor and you will win far more often than you lose.
A person whose mind is made up is a force of nature in this world, one that can have very powerful ripple effects. What do you need to make up your mind about? What decisions do you need to take, what lines should you draw in the sand and what commitments must you stand by? Remember, you don’t have to go it alone. Make up your mind, lean into the help that’s there and experience more confidence and peace in your life. To learn more, listen to the latest episode of “The Brian Buffini Show”.
